Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook ziti in boiling salted water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground halal beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and marinara sauce; simmer briefly.
  5. In a bowl, combine cooked pasta with meat sauce mixture and ricotta cheese. Mix well.
  6. Layer half of the pasta mixture in the greased baking dish; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  7. Add remaining pasta mixture on top and cover generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake covered for 25 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
